This is what their website says today. 31/03/2026 HelferApp shut down for good - ### The service has ended HelferApp was shut down for good on 31 March 2026. - ### No open-source release There are no plans to publish it as an open-source project on GitHub. - ### No contact by email HelferApp can no longer be reached by email. Its email account has been deleted. ### What this means for your next event You need a new tool for volunteer scheduling. You can bring your volunteer list along as a file. A list of your volunteers is enough to start, for example from your membership records or an earlier export. 1. ### Import your volunteers Upload your volunteer list as a CSV or Excel file. First name, last name and email are required. No message goes out during the import. You plan shifts on the timeline, with a minimum and a target. Or embed the sign-up in your club website with an iframe. The preview shows for each row whether a volunteer is created or updated. Nothing is saved until you import. 1. ### Columns are recognised If your columns are called First name, Last name, Email and Phone, for example, the app maps them itself. Otherwise you pick them. First name, last name and email are required. 2. ### The email address decides If the list already knows the address, the volunteer is updated, otherwise created. Empty cells overwrite nothing. 3. ### Faulty rows stay out If a name or the email is missing, or the address is invalid or appears twice in the file, the row cannot be selected. 4. ### No message to volunteers The import sends no email and no invitation. The app deletes the uploaded file afterwards. ## What matters when you switch. Areas, tasks and shifts you set up again. There is no import for them. **Do my volunteers get an email when I import them?** No. The import only adds the volunteers to your volunteer list. You decide when to write to them, for example through the mail centre. **Can I try Helferplanung for free?** Yes.
